Bruising is a very general term for a condition in which blood leaks out of the blood vessels into the tissues of the skin, mucous membranes or other organs, including muscles and bones.
Skin bruising can be caused by many things, including:
- Injury – Everyday injuries or more serious trauma
- Age Mature, thinning skin
- Serious underlying diseases
- Medications that can cause bruising
